Day 6 - parte dos

103F at 6p Central /7p Eastern

We had dinner at this great little Mexican resteraunt place in Seminole, TX, 25 miles from the border with New Mexico and Mountain time zone.  We also made a Walmart run for coffee, an eyeglass repair kit, and gum.  Isaac lost an eyeglass screw back two or three hundred miles ago.  The gum to is help alleviate ear pressure when we start into Rockies.  So, I had told the kids, in passing, that we needed gum for our ears - Zeke thought we were going to put it IN our ears!!  So, I explained how chewing helps the pressure gradients equalize and that he should NEVER put gum in his ears (or nose!)!!!

Texas Tech in Lubbock, TX.  We also passed the Buddy Holly Center in Lubbock but I didn't get a photo.

Oil field just past Seminole, TX.  Just like the ones in northern PA and the southern tier of NY.

We saw a dust devil in a field between Lubbock and Seminole as well.

There are all these little RV parks along the highway - basically gravel lots with electric and water posts.  Ken just quoted "Cars" - Look at all those sleeping campers...

And just like that...

New Mexico!

More RV parks

We are staying the next two nights at Carlsbad RV / Carlsun - the kids are happy as there is an indoor pool here.
