Day 11

We are saddened by the news that Bessie Price has passed on, but rejoicing that she lived a long life and remember her sweet heart and that she is now with the Lord.  Our plan is to attend church with Hayes and Toni this morning.

My cousin, Jason, was not able to join us yesterday, so we want to see him today at lunch at Aunt Dar's.  Zeke is particularly loving all of Aunt Dar and Uncle Mike's delicious food - I think he ate 6-8 chicken wings last night, then 3-4 scrambled eggs this morning!  Isaac wants to meet Jason's Isaac, so we are going to try to help that happen this afternoon.  Pace has really connected with both Ken and Isaac, and it has been a good visit all around.

Ken is adding a new photo page to the blog in his new "Advice from a Bat" shirt we gave him for Father's Day.

Sometime after lunch, we will be heading to the Painted Desert and Petrified Forest.  After that, Walnut Canyon (Indian Dwellings) and then 120+* temperatures of Phoenix.

Day 10- not the SUV

We spent the day in Albuquerque at Aunt Dar and Uncle Mike's house.  Tarah and the children came and the cousins had a blast playing games.  Ken took all but the oldest and youngest of the cousins back to Petroglyphs NP for an hour or so for their National Junior Ranger Day activities, sadly, they missed the wolf and raptor, but they did get little backpacks, various items in the backpack and they made shell necklaces.

We visited all day, Tim came in around dinner time and a wonderful day was had by all!  Pictures later - Ken is working on moving them from his camera to the laptop.

At some point tomorrow, we will head to the Petrified Forest area in Arizona, which we will tour on Monday morning, then make our way to Peoria, AZ near Phoenix either Monday late night or Tuesday morning to see the Holt family. We are still working out that timeline.
